What is the purpose of attending the ISB SGP/Indigo Contractor EHS Training? ISB SGP/Indigo is committed to ensuring that all employees and sub-contractors of contractors are well-informed of ISB SGP/ Indigo Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations. ISB SGP/ Indigo believes in working with contractors in this induction training to advance their EHS knowledge, so they may conduct operations in an environmentally responsible manner and adopt sound health and safety practices that provide an injury-free working environment for contractor workers.
When is the commencement date for the training program? From 1st June 2006, all employees of contractors (including sub-contractors) must undergo an employee EHS training prior to the commencement of projects, services or activities associated and/or related to ISB SGP/ Indigo in the following premises: - 1150 Depot Road (D1) - 138 Depot Road (D2) - Alexandra Technopark Block A (ATPA) - Tuas Indigo Who should attend ISB SGP/ Indigo Contractor EHS training? Every contractor and sub-contractor shall nominate at least one management or supervisory staff to attend the ISB SGP/ Indigo Contractor EHS Training that is to be conducted by ISB SGP/ Indigo Accredited trainers. (EQS Asia Pte Ltd)
How much is the course fee? 42.80 SGD per participant, inclusive of GST. When do I make the payment? Full payment is to be made before the commencement of the course.
What if payment is late or outstanding? EQS Asia Pte Ltd and Hewlett-Packard will not update the names of contractors or sub-contractors into the database till payment has been made.
How do I register for the ISB SGP / Indigo training? Click here to go to the Online Registration page. Register under the course titled "ISB SGP / Indigo Contractor EHS Training". Alternatively, you can also contact EQS Asia at 6221 8006 to request for the registration form. Kindly fill up the registration form and fax it back to 6221 9612. Will there be any examination? There will be a 30 minutes examination for all contractors and sub-contractors after attending the training program.
What should I bring to the course? Valid Work-permit / NRIC and stationery
What is the exam format? There will be 20 multiple choice questions.
What if I fail my exam? There will be no resit sessions. HP Personnel will contact the contractor or sub contractor's company for further arrangements.
What is the passing mark? You have to score a minimum of 80 percent to get a pass in the exam. You will not be granted entry to HP premises if you do not meet the passing criteria.
How can I be qualified as in-house trainer? To be qualified as an in-house trainer, you have to score at least 90 percent for the exam. What should an in-house trainer do after successful completion of the EHS Training at HP? The in-house trainer can conduct EHS Training for employees in his company. He should maintain and submit training records to EQS Asia Pte Ltd. EQS Asia Pte Ltd will in turn advise ISB SGP / Indigo to update records in the ISB SGP/ Indigo contractor training database. The trained workers will be eligible for the daily contractor pass to enter HP/ ISB SGP / Indigo premises. Can I train my sub-contractor? No. Please note that records from any cross-company training of workers are not eligible for input into the ISB SGP/ Indigo database or for the daily pass at guard posts. Contractors or sub-contractors are therefore advised to get their own trainer to conduct training for their own workers.
Is it necessary to send all my workers to EQS Asia Pte Ltd for the EHS Training? No. A company may opt to send all its workers to EQS Asia Pte Ltd for worker's training or it may choose to send a representative to be trained as a trainer.
What should an in-house trainer do after conducting the in-house training? Complete the Contractor's Spreadsheet with the details of the in-house trainees, and send it to

. Incomplete forms will be rejected. Once the workers have completed the contractors' in-house training and details updated into the database, the in-house trainees will then be allowed to enter or work in any of ISB SGP/ Indigo premises. Is there a validity of training? Yes. The training is valid for a period of 3 years. Qualified trainers and trained workers have to attend a refresher training course after the expiry of EHS Training.
I am a new photo pass holder, where can I get my photo pass? Please contact your HP project manager / coordinator to arrange for a photo taking session at Alexandra Techno-park (ATP) Block B Level 1, Security Counter. You will receive your photo pass from your HP Project manager / coordinator.
I am an existing photo pass holder, do I need to undergo the EHS Contractor training? Yes. Contractors need to attend the EQS training course or an in-house training course if an in-house trainer is available.

What if my staff cannot enter HP Premises as the security cannot verify their details?
Kindly check that you have: - Sent your attendance list, including the name of your staff, to EQS Asia Pte Ltd - Made payment for the EHS Training - Ensure that the name of the staff you have submitted is as appeared on his NRIC / Work Permit Will HP / EQS Asia Pte Ltd check our training records? Yes. HP will continuously monitor the trainings which you conduct by: - Sending a representative from EQS Asia Pte Ltd to observe your in-house training - Audits of your company’s employee/workers training records - Interview your company’s employee/workers during ad-hoc site monitoring, such as EHS inspections
What is the responsibility of the contractor's in-house trainers? - To keep the "Contractors Spreadsheet" up to date - To maintain test papers completed by the workers for at least 3 years. - To conduct training according to training materials provided and training requirements.
Are there any penalties for non-conformity of the above? Yes. A warning, OR a ban from the awarding of ISB SGP / Indigo contracts shall be imposed on contractors who do not conduct in-house trainings to an acceptable level or who have falsified information. What if there is a change in company name? According to HP practices and procedures, contractors need to attend the training again using the new company name. This is to avoid confusion in logistics and in verifying the accuracy of their details/records. This will also ensure that qualified trainers do not conduct trainings for their subcontractors or other companies.
