Sector-Specific Standards
  • TL 9000   ( 4 Articles )

TL 9000 Quality Management System (QMS) was created by QuEST Forum to meet the quality requirements of the worldwide telecommunications industry.

    • It defines quality system requirements for the design, development, production, delivery, installation and maintenance of telecom products and services, and provides a measurement system that, when implemented, allows companies to track performance and improve results.
    • Its telecommunications focus eliminates the need for multiple quality management standards, reduces the cost of doing business, and ultimately results in better products and services to consumers.
    • It provides a consistent set of quality expectations needed to drive efficiency and performance across the global telecom supply chain.

    The Benefits of Implementation

For buyers, requiring TL 9000 certification from suppliers helps assure consistent quality across all products and services. It helps drive supply chain efficiencies and improves supplier relationships. By selecting TL 9000 certified suppliers, companies are assured that they have a QMS that has been systematically audited by an independent TL 9000 registrar. Furthermore, the advanced measurements system facilitates analysis against industry benchmarks. It provides the basis for objective product or supplier evaluations to make fully informed supply decisions.

For suppliers, conformance to TL 9000 certification validates the quality of product, services and customer care that they provide. It reduces the costs of quality audits while helping create customized performance reports for current and potential customers.

TL 9000 certification, along with independent audits, allows suppliers to save time and money by complying with only one quality standard. What’s more, buyers save on the costs of on-site inspections. TL 9000 certified organizations have access to performance data reports for benchmarking that helps spur further product and service improvement and continued commitment to quality and business excellence.

    Program Introduction

This modular program provides an interactive learning environment for auditors of the TL 9000 requirements. The program (Release 4.0) / TL 9000 R 4.0 is structured to “bridge the gap” between ISO 9001 and the additional requirements of TL 9000 from the perspective of an auditor

Step-by-step you’ll learn how to interpret and understand the specific requirements of TL 9000, and how to effectively audit to verify compliance. You will receive an understanding of TL 9000 metrics and the means necessary to measure ongoing performance. In addition, the responsibilities that exist in the supplier-customer relationship will be explored.

Through dynamic learning activities, workshops and instructor-led discussions, you will be given challenging tasks that reinforce the key points of each module.

    Who Should Attend
    • Auditors needing a full knowledge of TL 9000 requirements and metrics
    • Implementation team members
    • Internal auditors
    • ISO 9001-trained auditors wishing to expand their credentials
    • Anyone who will be performing third-party registration audits to TL 9000 (This body of knowledge is an approved alternative to the three-day course for TL 9000 auditors employed by registrars and is a must for internal auditors and those charged with assuring ongoing compliance by their suppliers.)
  • Information Security   ( 4 Articles )

Technological advances have resulted in faster and more efficient means of information exchange but also in the increased vulnerability of proprietary information to security breaches.

ISO 27001 which replaced BS 7799-2 is a set of requirements for the implementation and maintenance of an effective information security management systems (ISMS). It reflects the principles of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on ISMS and is harmonized to be compatible with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. More than 2800 organizations worldwide are ISO27001 certified and many are in the process of initial review and implementation.

ISO 27001 is a standard that organisations with valuable information assets can no longer ignore. Like ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, ISO 27001 is fast becoming a potential market driven requirement. In collaboration with Excel Partnership, EQS Asia has trained more than 500 IT and management system professionals in the former BS 7799 and the current ISO 27001. Many active ISMS Lead Auditors and consultants in the region are past participants of our ISMS courses.

We provide internal and lead auditor training for individual.
